GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Materials Coordinator supports material flow throughout the facility by coordinating the movement of raw materials, parts, and finished goods between production areas, warehouses, and the loading dock. This role ensures materials are available to meet production and shipping schedules, maintains accurate inventory flow, and assists the loading department with staging, verification, and internal transfers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the mission and daily objectives of the Loading Department.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements, to identify overdue materials, and to track material.
- Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
- May move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment.
- Attend Daily Production Meetings, and it remains highly visible on the manufacturing floor to ensure problems are identified and addressed promptly.
- Works with support departments and other team members to determine root cause and implement corrective actions to achieve order fulfillment.
- Utilize resources such as customer order management, pull reports, Apriso, Synchrono, and AS400 for inventory availability to avoid potential shortages.
- Provide investigation results with Inventory Control for items identified as having BOM or deviation back-flushing issues.
- Define and implement Standard Work that enables 100% material delivery and process goals: meeting takt and maintaining a safe environment and a zero-defect product.
- Work directly with Team Leaders and Supervisors to provide them with the necessary tools to create an efficient and accurate material flow.
- Promotes commitment to quality and continuous improvement through attitude, behavior, communication, and development and implementation of standard work and associated programs and activities.
- Communicates/updates shift management of daily problems and concerns, identifying areas needing attention to ensure the continuity of the operation.
- Consistently apply Club Car policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment by assuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
- Other tasks and duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in materials, warehouse, logistics, production support, or similar environment.
- Basic knowledge of material flow, inventory management, and production support processes
- Experience working with material flow, inventory movement, or shipping/receiving preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires occasional lifting of objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.
